Design of an electrical drive for motorized bicycles
نویسندگان
چکیده
The aim of this work is the design of an electrical drive for a motorized bicycle, characterised by new solutions for the control method and the regenerative braking system. A dynamic model of the vehicle has been realised, and the characteristics of the drive have been individuated. An effective closed-loop control strategy has been studied, adjusting the motor torque and the current in order to increase the availability range. Finally, a feasibility study of a regenerative braking system based on the supercapacitor technology has been carried out. All the components of the drive have been selected among the models available on the market. In the paper the results of the simulations are presented and other technical-economical aspects such as energy consumption and costs are also briefly

Modular approach for an ASIC integration of electrical drive controls
VLSI circuits design allows today to consider new modes of implementation for electrical controls. However, design techniques require an adaptation effort that few designers, too accustomed to the software approach, provide. The authors of this article propose to develop a methodology to guide the electrical designers towards optimal performances of control algorithms implementation. Thus, they...

In Permanent-Magnet Synchronous Generators (PMSGs) the reduction of cogging torque is one of the most important problems in their performance and evaluation. In this paper, at first, a direct-drive vertical-axis wind turbine is chosen. According to its nominal value operational point, necessary parameters for the generator is extracted. Due to an analytical method, four generators with differen...
متن کاملCar Delay Model near Bus Stops with Mixed Traffic Flow
This paper proposes a model for estimating car delays at bus stops under mixed traffic using probability theory and queuing theory. The roadway is divided to serve motorized and nonmotorized traffic streams. Bus stops are located on the nonmotorized lanes. When buses dwell at the stop, they block the bicycles. Thus, two conflict points between car stream and other traffic stream are identified....
متن کاملDesign of High-Efficiency and Low-Cost Six-Phase Permanent Magnet Synchronous Generator for Direct-Drive Small-Scale Wind Power Application
Permanent magnet synchronous generators (PMSG) have a huge potential for direct-drive wind power applications. Therefore, optimal design of these generators is necessary to maximize their efficiency and to reduce their manufacturing cost and total volume. In this paper, an optimal design of a six-phase 3.5 KW direct-drive PMSG to generate electricity for domestic needs is performed. The aim of ...
